About

bio

Sally Wagley is a visual artist based in Brunswick, Maine, working in drawing, collage, assemblage, embroidery and printmaking. Through work both representational and abstract, she mines age-old narratives from mythology, religion and popular culture to interrogate ideas about gender and society and to illuminate the human psyche.  Her work also explores language and writing. Since 2012, she has exhibited her work in venues in Maine and New Hampshire, and has had three solo shows.  She received her education at the University of Michigan, Northeastern University and the University of Maine at Augusta.
